ESED performs full spectrum life cycle engineering and test support to verify the safety, reliability, and effectiveness of Expeditionary Warfare systems. The primary function of ESED is to provide In-Service Engineering and Test and Evaluation for the Department of Defense (DoD). As part of this function, ESED conducts test operations at regional Southern California ranges such as Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake and at multiple DoD ranges across the United States. This task sets forth the requirements for technical services related to testing to include test planning, test execution, test support, test operations and associated logistics. These services are in support of a wide variety of systems across their life cycle, which include ESEDs main focus areas such as Arms, Ammunition, Explosives, Weapons Systems, and associated platforms utilized by the Expeditionary Warfare community. ESEDs secondary focus areas such as Sensors and Communications, Mobility Platforms, Systems Integration, and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment with unique military applications; and other new or existing systems that require independent testing for Expeditionary Warfare./ppReporting to the Program Manager, the Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician will support the Heavy Equipment Maintenance Lead in managing equipment transportation, maintenance activities, and other technical and administrative support requirements at Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona. Responsibilities include providing technical and maintenance support for heavy equipment, as well as coordinating the movement of various equipment at the Fallbrook operating site and other test range locations on the Test Operations Support Services (TOSS) contract. This position is located in Fallbrook, CA./ph2What Youll Do/h2ulliSafely operate heavy equipment and vehicles, including conducting pre- and post-trip inspections./liliSafely secure cargo and ensure compliance with all applicable traffic laws and transportation regulations./liliMaintain required logbooks, including hours-of-service documentation, and ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials./liliPerform limited preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, vehicles, and trailers./liliCoordinate additional preventative and corrective maintenance with third-party vendors, as required./liliPrepare and submit heavy equipment, vehicle maintenance, and monthly operational reports./liliProvide operational support by troubleshooting equipment issues, recovering vehicles, and assisting with challenging tasks in the field./liliOperate manual transmission vehicles and comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety requirements./liliGather data, compile information, and prepare reports to support operational and maintenance activities./liliPossess forklift certification or obtain certification following hire./liliSupport inspections, tagging, labeling, shipping, and other established processes and procedures./liliBid and proposal support if requested./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulh2What Were Looking For/h2pstrongRequired Qualifications:/strong/pulliThe ability to obtain and maintain an active secret clearance./liliHS Diploma required./liliAt least three (3) years of experience working within an industrial, logistics, or manufacturing/shop floor environment./liliMust possess a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class A./liliMust possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills./liliDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)./liliStrong attention to detail and organizational skills./liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills./liliDemonstrated problem-solving skills./liliMust possess strong time management skills./liliMust be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment./liliMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future./li/ulpstrongDesired Qualifications:/strong/pulliHAZMAT endorsement for CDL preferred./liliExperience supporting military or government operations highly desirable./liliAt least five or more (5+) years of direct experience in a similar role preferred./liliOSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety certification preferred./li/ulpstrongPhysical Requirements:/strong/pulliMust be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking./liliThe ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds./liliThe work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area, or on-board ships, submarines, and/or in weapon facilities./liliThe ability to operate heavy machinery and industrial tools with limited to no supervision. Examples may include but are not limited to: Electric/Diesel Forklift, CNC Milling Machine, Welding/Soldering, CAT III Overhead Crane, pallet jack, Big Joe stand-behind pallet lift mechanism, and more./liliTravel Required ~20% travel required (to test range sites across the southwestern United States - AZ, NV, NM, CA)/li/ulpINDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $37.98 $40.00 per hour.
