Role Description The Home Health Director of Business Development is a full-time, on-site role based in Tampa, FL. This position leads market expansion and referral growth for home health services by developing and executing strategic business development plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with physicians, hospitals, and community partners; identifying new referral sources; and monitoring market trends to drive growth initiatives. The Director collaborates closely with clinical and operational leaders to align business strategies with patient care goals and organizational priorities. The role also involves managing outreach activities, tracking performance metrics, overseeing territory development, and representing Enhabit at community and professional events. Qualifications Business development and sales leadership skills, including experience driving growth, managing referral networks, and developing strategic partnerships. Healthcare industry knowledge, preferably in home health, hospice, or post-acute care, with a strong understanding of referral patterns, payor dynamics, and regulatory considerations. Relationship-building, networking, and stakeholder management skills to engage physicians, hospital staff, community organizations, and internal teams. Strategic planning and market analysis skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify opportunities, and execute targeted growth initiatives. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions and collaborate across disciplines. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple projects, territories, and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration skills, with experience coaching or guiding others toward shared business goals. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus. Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office or similar productivity software; comfort working with data and performance dashboards.
