Job Responsibilities
  • Craft Individualized Treatment Plans: Assess patient needs and create tailored therapy approaches to assist them in reaching their functional aspirations
  • Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based strategies to improve patients' motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily living tasks
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure well-rounded, comprehensive care
  • Educate Patients and Their Families: Provide guidance to patients and caregivers on therapy practices to encourage progress beyond sessions
  • Track Progress and Adjust Treatment: Monitor clinical outcomes and modify treatments as necessary, ensuring that patients remain on track toward recovery
Education
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Ongoing professional education and advanced certifications are encouraged and supported
Licenses and Certifications
  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
  • NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is required
