Crown Staffing is urgently hiring for a Shipping Clerk.
Shipping Clerk Job Details
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $16.00-$18.00/hr (Based on Experience)
Location : Columbus, OH
Shipping Clerk Requirements/Qualifications

• Previous shipping, logistics, warehouse office, or clerical experience preferred.
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
  
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing paperwork and shipping documents.
  
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions independently.
  
• Experience using email and phone systems in a professional setting.
  
• Ability to sit, bend, reach, and retrieve files as needed.
  
• Ability to work efficiently with frequent task changes.
  

• Schedule shipments to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  
• Research freight quotes and coordinate transportation with carriers.
  
• Review shipping paperwork and documentation for accuracy.
  
• Prepare Bills of Lading, shipping labels, and order documentation.
  
• Verify order quantities, case counts, skid counts, weights, and dimensions before shipment.
  
• Log and track daily shipments according to company procedures.
  
• Update carrier websites with shipment information when required.
  
• Communicate transportation, order, and shipping issues to management and warehouse personnel.
  
• Send daily shipment and order tracking updates to management.
  
• Answer phones and respond to emails professionally and efficiently.
  
• Greet drivers, vendors, and visitors entering the facility.
  
• Assist with general office duties and maintain an organized workspace.
  
• Work closely with warehouse personnel, drivers, and management to ensure smooth operations.
  
• Adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities throughout the workday.
