As an Armed Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and help to deter security-related incidents through a professional, visible presence. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Tue: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and entry requirements in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures. Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and access-control records, including issuing and retrieving access badges and reporting discrepancies. Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of designated business areas and perimeter locations to identify and report security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. Possess a California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
