BUS 300 – Professional Business Development (Fall 2026) – Temecula Site Position: Lecturer Academic Year: Fall 2026 Day/Time: Wednesdays, 8:30 a.m. – 10:20 a.m. Modality: In-person College: College of Business Administration Department: Professional Business Development The College of Business Administration at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach Business 300 at the Temecula Mount San Jacinto College site. This 2‑unit course enhances students’ professional skills through interactive lessons on career exploration, soft skill development, and job search strategies. This position requires facilitation skills that aim to increase students’ career confidence. The candidate should have been professionally engaged for at least 8 years and possess knowledge of current industry trends in career development practices. Successful applicants will be responsible for their own parking accounts at this location. The course includes executive coaching, with EIR coaches working alongside instructors to ensure students meet coaching requirements and complete self‑reflective assignments. Candidates should foster a team environment with coaches and ensure frequent communication. Minimum Qualifications A master’s degree in business or a related discipline Active current industry experience in business, management, recruiting, and/or career development Ability to facilitate large group discussions and/or experience teaching or conducting workshops Proficiency with technology including video conferencing (Zoom, Teams), Microsoft Office (PowerPoint), LinkedIn Willingness to adapt and engage in continuous learning and development Per the California State University Out‑of‑State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU‑related work outside California. Employment in California is a condition of employment. Preferred Qualifications A doctorate or equivalent Professional engagement through professional association affiliations and/or consulting services Previous teaching and coaching experience Demonstrated intercultural competence and commitment to serving the campus community. Salary Salary commensurate with degree level and experience. Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 – $6,677 per full‑time month.
