We're excited to provide the best education in the best environment to our students!Job DescriptionAcademies of Math and ScienceKindergarten Teacher – 2026–2027 School YearLocation: 221 W 6th Ave, Mesa, AZ 85210Compensation Range: $48,331.25 – $54,571.89 (DOE)Start Date: 7/20/2026Position OverviewAcademies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of high-performing K–8 public charter schools committed to academic excellence, college readiness, and equitable access to high-quality education for students in historically underserved communities.AMS is seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our team at the AMS Mesa Campus for the 2026–2027 school year.The Kindergarten Teacher plays a critical role in helping scholars build strong foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development. The ideal candidate will create a structured and engaging learning environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning while ensuring students develop the academic skills needed for long-term success.AMS teachers are collaborative professionals who believe that all scholars can achieve at high levels through structured instruction, strong classroom culture, and data-informed teaching practices.Key ResponsibilitiesInstruction & Student AchievementDeliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction aligned with AMS curriculum and Arizona academic standards.Build strong foundational skills in early literacy, phonics, writing, and mathematics.Use formative and summative assessment data to guide instructional planning and student interventions.Differentiate instruction to support students performing above and below grade level.Implement engaging instructional strategies that promote student participation, exploration, and early critical thinking skills.Classroom Culture & Student DevelopmentEstablish and maintain a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom environment.Implement PBIS and proactive classroom management strategies.Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.Foster a classroom culture that promotes kindness, responsibility, and a love of learning.Collaboration & Professional GrowthParticipate in weekly professional development and professional learning communities (PLCs).Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to strengthen instructional practices.Contribute to school-wide systems and continuous improvement initiatives.Engage in ongoing professional learning aligned with AMS instructional priorities.Family EngagementCommunicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom expectations.Conduct parent-teacher conferences and maintain strong home–school partnerships.Support family engagement initiatives that promote student success.Minimum QualificationsCandidates must meet one of the following requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Education or Early Childhood EducationORValid Arizona teaching certification in Elementary Education or Early Childhood EducationORMinimum of three (3) years of K–12 teaching experienceAdditionally, candidates must:Demonstrate strong classroom management and instructional planning skillsPass required background checks and obtain an IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance CardShow commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communitiesDemonstrate a data-driven approach to instruction and student supportExhibit collaboration, professionalism, and initiative in a team-based environmentCompensation & BenefitsAMS offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support professional growth and long-term career success.Competitive salary based on experience401(k) retirement plan with employer contributionsMedical, dental, life, and disability insuranceOptional vision coveragePerformance bonusesStipend opportunities for tutoring and extracurricular leadershipOngoing professional development and instructional coachingJoin us to enjoy rewarding challenges and ongoing opportunities! #J-18808-Ljbffr FHLB Des Moines
