Business Development Manager - Commercial Motors

Commercial Motors Business Unit Leader
WEG Electric Corp, a global electric-electronic equipment company, seeks a dynamic individual to join our organization in the Commercial Motors business unit. Specifically, this position leads business development activities for WEC Commercial business in USA in various Commercial Motors market segments. This individual will be a critical individual and considered a leader in the field.
The role entails driving growth and market penetration for specific market segments and/or dedicated product lines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, engaging with target customers, and converting leads into tangible sales, working in collaboration with the assigned sales teams in each region.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to grow WEG's presence and expand market share in target segments.
- Map market segments, pinpoint growth opportunities, and convert leads into sales.
- Build strong relationships with customers to understand their processes and ensure WEG meets their requirements.
- Partner with marketing, product, and sales teams to align strategies and guarantee seamless execution of initiatives.
- Identify client needs and collaborate across departments to deliver tailored solutions with a unique value proposition that drives revenue growth.
- Represent and strengthen the WEG brand by participating in relevant conferences, trade shows, industry events, and customer engagements.
- Monitor industry megatrends, market shifts, geopolitical developments, and competitor landscapes to develop effective go-to-market strategies.
- Learn and showcase WEG's capabilities, organizational strengths, and serve as the ambassador for the company with key customers.
- Support broader WEG sales teams by preparing and delivering presentations, proposals, and strategies to prospective clients.
- Successfully meet organizational goals, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and reporting requirements.
- Perform additional duties and tasks as required.
- Travel domestically, approximately 20% to 40% of the time.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or business preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
- Familiarity with the motor and/or similar industry; experience in technical types of sales.
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- High level of personal initiative, leadership, energy, and ownership of results.
- Ability to develop strategic plans and drive tactical execution.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships and work across customer organizations.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, reporting, tracking, communication, and follow-up/follow-through.
