Route Service Representative

Position Details
Responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate pickup, handling, tracking, and transportation of patient specimens, supplies, reports, and other materials. Acts as a professional representative of the company while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Position: Route Service Representative
- Location: Sacramento, CA 95834
- Shift: Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM-7:30 PM
- Required License: Valid California Driver's License
Responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate pickup, handling, tracking, and transportation of patient specimens, supplies, reports, and other materials. Acts as a professional representative of the company while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicle and follow assigned routes.
- Pick up and transport specimens while maintaining proper temperature and specimen integrity.
- Use scanners/handheld devices for tracking and documentation.
- Complete will-call pickups and follow required client procedures.
- Maintain vehicle, equipment, route information, and documentation.
- Communicate with Dispatch, supervisors, and clients regarding service issues.
- Follow all safety, OSHA, attendance, training, and company policies.
- Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach.
- Valid driver's license with 3+ years of driving experience .
- MVR with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 36 months and none in the last 12 months.
- 1 year of customer service, logistics, or delivery experience preferred.
- Strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. regularly and up to 40 lbs. occasionally .
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, and drive for extended periods.
- Basic computer/handheld scanner experience preferred.
