The Swamp Rabbit Grocery is a showcase for local farmers and food artisans. We buy from over 300 local producers to provide the community with a convenient and fun connection to those producers. We know every farm and every product has a story and we strive to tell the story while maintaining the high quality selection and competitive pricing. The Grocery Manager is an integral member of our team who collaboratively assists in the management of all the day-to-day operations of our grocery, ensuring we remain an appealing, high-quality option for our customers.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Responsible for the overall performance, efficiency and profitable operations of the Grocery store: including sales, margin, labor, customer service, inventory management, merchandising, and team member training and development.
• Analyzes store data to identify areas of opportunity, determine root causes, and implement solutions to continuously improve the overall performance of the store
• Leads team to consistently meet or exceed expectations regarding sales, shrink, freshness, service standards, inventory management, and merchandising
• Responsible for preventing internal and external loss; has constant pulse on back stock, delivery schedule and freshness
• Performs store walks and other audits and assigns/adjusts tasks to accomplish daily goals as necessary
• Holds Grocery team responsible for productivity and performance by setting goals, communicating clearly, hosting regular team huddles, conducting one-on-one coaching, and more.
• Works independently and addresses challenges within a fast-paced environment, while fostering company wide teamwork

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS?

AGE/AVAILABILITY

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Minimum 4 years grocery management experience and customer service required
• Experience managing a budget and staff required

• Must be highly motivated, hard working, and possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
• Must pay attention to details, be organized, and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
