Job DescriptionJob Descriptionob Title:Site Safety Manager Location:West Lafayette, Indiana Project Duration:Minimum 8 weeks Schedule:6 days per week, 12-hour shifts Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager to oversee and enforce safety protocols on an active construction project in West Lafayette, IN. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations while promoting a strong safety culture on-site. The position requires a proactive, hands-on professional capable of managing safety in a fast-paced environment with extended work hours. Key Responsibilities Implement and enforce site-specific safety plans and proceduresConduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site orientationsMonitor job site activities to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standardsIdentify hazards, perform risk assessments, and implement corrective actionsLead incident investigations and prepare detailed reportsMaintain accurate safety documentation, including inspections, permits, and training recordsCoordinate with project management, subcontractors, and field personnel on safety mattersEnsure proper use of PPE and safety equipment at all timesConduct regular site audits and inspectionsServe as the primary point of contact for all safety-related issuesQualifications Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience (industrial or commercial preferred)OSHA 30-hour certification required (OSHA 500/510 preferred)CPR/First Aid certified (or ability to obtain)Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practicesProven ability to enforce safety standards in high-production environmentsExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to work extended hours (12-hour shifts, 6 days/week)Experience with safety reporting systems and documentationPhysical Requirements Ability to walk job sites for extended periodsComfortable working in various weather conditionsAbility to climb ladders, access elevated areas, and navigate active construction zonesCompensation & Perks $50-60/hr plus OT over 40 hoursDaily Per diem (if applicable)Potential for project extension or future assignmentsAdditional Information This is a high-demand, short-term project requiring a committed safety professional who can maintain strict safety standards while supporting aggressive project timelines.
