Job Description
Busy endocrinology practice in Falls Church, VA is looking for experienced Medical Assistants to join our team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to chart preparation, prior authorizations, gathering patient medical history and reason for visit, rooming patients, reviewing current medications and allergies, taking clinical vital signs, providing patient education, administering patient injections, restocking exam rooms, general office duties, and answering Physician/Clinical/Message phone lines.
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Courteous and professional behavior
- Reliable, responsible, and timely
- Ability to work under pressure
- Experience with EMR (electronic medical records)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to initiate and complete tasks
- Proactive approach
- Attention to detail
- Efficiency in both team and individual work
Preferences:
- Experience in Athena EMR
- Eagerness to learn
- Experience with prior authorizations through CoverMyMeds
