*Position:** Medical Assistant

**Location:** Falls Church, VA

**Start Date:** Immediate

**End Date:** To Be Determined

**Office Hours:**

- Monday to Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

- Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

- Friday: 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM

**Note:** Preference for Monday availability. Due to an urgent staffing need, immediate start is required, with a staffing change scheduled for tomorrow morning.

**Qualifications:**

• **Experience:** Minimum of 1 year in a medical office setting; gynecology experience is advantageous.
• **Technical Skills:** Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), with experience in Athena preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and diagnostic coding is essential.
• **Education/Licensing:** Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred; a Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not mandatory.
• **Core Competencies:** Excellent verbal communication, organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate schedules effectively. Demonstrates teamwork, a commitment to infection control, patient confidentiality, and maintains a professional bedside manner

Duties and Responsibilities

• **Patient Care:** Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information. Assist with gynecology procedures and provide necessary patient education.
• **Administrative Support:** Verify and update patient information, and collaborate with front desk staff to ensure smooth office operations.
• **Clinical Maintenance:** Manage medical supplies and inventory, ensure medical equipment functions correctly, and uphold a safe, compliant clinical environment.
• **Professional Development:** Pursue ongoing educational opportunities to stay current with medical best practices and industry standards.
