Job Title: Scheduling Coordinator Department: Perioperative Services Location: Unity Hospital | 1555 Long Pond Rd. Rochester, NY 14626 Hours Per Week: 40 hrs. Schedule: Training schedule will begin on the day shift from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM for orientation purposes, then transition to the regular shift of 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM. ATTRIBUTES Desired Attributes: HS Graduate or equivalent preferred Two years health care experience in the area of secretarial, registration, medical billing, and insurance verification preferred Medical terminology Strong computer skills RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrates accurate scheduling of all inpatient and outpatient appointments/procedures. Completes the pre-registration process by collecting accurate patient demographic, insurance, and co-pay information. Performs insurance verification using PCEasy, Quicklink, Omnipro and calls Commercial Insurance companies to identify co-payments and initiate referrals to the hospital financial counselor. Interfaces with referring offices for accurate scheduling of procedures and/or pretesting appointments via telephone and fax. Coordinates patient information mailings. Demonstrates the ability to arrange for interpreters for all hearing impaired patients. PAY RANGE: $19.00 - $25.50 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14626 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
