DescriptionKforce has a client in Beaverton, OR that is seeking an experienced Merchandising Director to lead a high-profile Kids Apparel business during a critical seasonal planning and execution period.Summary:This leader will oversee a multigender, multisport apparel portfolio with significant revenue responsibility while leading a team of merchandising professionals. The ideal candidate combines strategic merchandising expertise with strong leadership skills and can confidently drive consumer-focused product strategies, seasonal line planning, and marketplace execution.Key Responsibilities:* Lead merchandising strategy for a large-scale Kids Apparel business, balancing consumer insights, financial performance, and marketplace opportunities* Direct seasonal product and assortment planning across multiple apparel categories* Partner cross-functionally with Product Creation, Planning, Marketplace, and Commercial teams to bring seasonal strategies to life* Monitor category, franchise, and product performance while guiding lifecycle decisions and future growth opportunities* Lead and develop a team of merchandising professionals through key planning and go-to-market milestones* Drive alignment across senior stakeholders and influence strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment* Manage priorities effectively while navigating ambiguity and changing business needsRequirements* 8+ years of merchandising experience, preferably within apparel, athletic, youth, or consumer products industries* Demonstrated experience leading category or business strategies with significant revenue responsibility* Experience leading teams and influencing cross-functional partners at senior levels* Strong understanding of assortment planning, line planning, and go-to-market processes* Strong financial acumen and ability to translate consumer and marketplace insights into actionable business strategies* Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills* Proven ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with day-to-day executionPreferred Experience:* Kids apparel or youth consumer product experience* Athletic, sportswear, or performance apparel background* Experience leading complex seasonal planning cycles and product launches* Previous experience managing large-scale product portfolios and cross-functional teamsJob TypeContractCompensation48 - $51
