Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/15/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Exciting Opportunity for a Dynamic ER Nurse Job Description: - Shift: 12H Days (6a-6p), Every Other Weekend Required - Unit: Emergency Room - of Beds: 28 beds, 4 fast track, 2 trauma bays, and hallway beds - Certifications Needed: ACLS, BLS, PALS (TNCC preferred) - Nurse Ratios: 1 to 4 - EMR System: Cerner - Charge Nurse: Yes (will not take patient assignments) - Support Staff: EMTs on each shift, including midshift support - Holiday Rotation: Integrated into permanent staff schedule - Scrub Color: Navy - Telemetry & Vents: Available - Hospitalist and Intensivist Coverage: 24/7 - Call Schedule: Approximately one day per month, with potential for two if assigned to a call team - Shifts: 12-hour shifts; self-scheduling based on seniority - Orientation: 2-3 shifts specific to the unit - Patient Volume: Approximately 155 patients per day, including trauma, stroke, pediatrics, psychiatry, etc. - Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in an emergency department with high volume and high acuity - Desired Attributes: - Leadership qualities to foster teamwork - Experience with Level II trauma care or above - Willingness to enhance team collaboration in the ER - Previous travel experience is a plus!
