Employment Type: W2 Contract – 12 Months with Possibility for Extensions

Pay Rate: $25.00–$27.00/hour – Determined based on experience (Paid Weekly)

Role Overview

BEPC is seeking a Research Associate II to support our customer’s Personalized Healthcare Solutions research and development activities in Tucson, AZ.

This laboratory-based position will conduct research, development, and manufacturing experiments supporting diagnostic and personalized healthcare projects. The Research Associate will design and execute experimental protocols, analyze data, prepare technical documentation, troubleshoot laboratory issues, and communicate experimental findings to project teams.

This opportunity is for Bachelor’s degree candidates with 2–4 years of relevant post-college experience who have developed hands-on laboratory expertise and are ready to contribute independently within a collaborative R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experiments supporting project objectives.
• Design experimental protocols with minimal supervision.
• Execute bench experiments and make detailed scientific observations.
• Analyze experimental data and interpret results to support project strategies.
• Prepare technical reports, experimental summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.
• Present and discuss experimental procedures, findings, and results with department and project teams.
• Maintain complete and accurate laboratory records, documentation, and electronic files.
• Apply a range of basic and specialized laboratory techniques.
• Search and review scientific literature to obtain information relevant to specific research topics.
• Troubleshoot laboratory and experimental problems and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Recommend improvements to laboratory processes, workflows, and the overall work environment.
• Exercise judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for experimental work.
• Contribute to cross-functional technical teams, including failure investigation activities when needed.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify creative solutions and provide input into project planning.
• Train colleagues in areas of technical expertise as appropriate.
• Monitor work to ensure quality and promote a Quality First Time approach.
• Follow applicable GMP, GLP, Design Control , and other established policies and procedures.
• Maintain familiarity with relevant scientific literature and developments within the field.
• Assist in identifying and developing potentially patentable inventions.
• May serve as a principal investigator for assigned experiments.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree , with a degree in Life Sciences or another scientific discipline preferred.
• 2–4 years of relevant post-college professional experience.
• Hands-on laboratory experience using basic and specialized laboratory techniques.
• Ability to design and execute experimental protocols with minimal supervision.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting experimental data.
• Ability to prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.
• Strong laboratory documentation and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot experimental or laboratory problems and implement corrective actions.
• Ability to search and interpret scientific literature.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, graphical, and presentation software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in collaborative and cross-functional project teams.
• Strong attention to quality, accuracy, and laboratory compliance.
