Pay: $20.00–$26.00 per hour (DOE)

Position Summary

The Cabinet Builder is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of woodworking machines and hand tools to fabricate, assemble, repair, and finish aircraft interior components and high-end furniture using honeycomb composite panels. This position requires precision craftsmanship, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to producing high-quality work while following company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of cabinetmaking, furniture building, or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1–3 years of experience operating hand tools and power tools
• Mechanical, industrial, or aviation interior experience preferred
• Aviation or aircraft interior experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions
• Strong math skills, including fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, geometry, area, and volume calculations
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, ERP manufacturing systems, shop floor management software, and timekeeping systems
• High school diploma or GED required

Essential Responsibilities

• Review computer-generated and manual drawings to determine specifications and plan fabrication sequences
• Measure, mark, and lay out materials for cutting and assembly
• Set up and safely operate woodworking equipment, including power saws, drills, and related machinery
• Cut, shape, and trim materials to precise dimensions
• Drill holes for inserts, dowels, pins, and screws
• Glue, fit, clamp, and assemble parts into completed units
• Install fasteners to reinforce assembled components
• Sand, scrape, and prepare surfaces for finishing
• Install hardware including hinges, catches, drawer slides, pulls, and related components
• Support fabrication and repair projects while maintaining exceptional quality and craftsmanship
• Work overtime as needed to meet production schedules and customer deadlines
