We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team at the Spouse and Family Treatment Care Center. This role involves providing high-quality therapeutic care to clients facing a variety of mental health challenges. As an LMFT, you will play a crucial part in intervening during crises and applying various therapeutic approaches tailored to individual needs. You will support clients dealing with gender issues, addiction, chronic pain, as well as family-related matters, depression, anxiety, and other related disorders.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Consult with team members from various disciplines to form comprehensive treatment plans for clients.

• Conduct age-appropriate assessments and interventions, tailoring your approach to each individual’s developmental stage.

• Lead parent support groups that foster resilience and understanding, especially in cases involving placement and adoption of children prenatally exposed to substances.
\n
• Provide temperament counseling for parents to equip them with tools to manage their children’s behavioral and emotional challenges.
\n
• Carry out developmental evaluations of children to track their progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with families and children, addressing a variety of issues ranging from emotional stressors to behavioral hurdles. Specific focus areas include clients dealing with addiction, developmental concerns, and the impacts of prenatal substance exposure. Your empathetic approach will guide clients through their challenges, enriching their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline.

• Active and appropriate California license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with Department of Mental Health billing and paperwork, which may include encounter notes and treatment plans.

• Demonstrated ability to provide evidence-based therapeutic practices to children and families, enhancing treatment outcomes.

• Familiarity with standard medical terminology and knowledge regarding the effects of prenatal substance abuse on child development.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The Spouse and Family Treatment Care Center offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 per year, which will be commensurate with experience and caseload management.
