Litigation Assistant

Company: Nigh Goldenberg Raso & Vaughn, PLLC Job Description: Our rapidly growing law firmhas an immediate opening for a full-time litigation assistant.We specialize inrepresentingpeople injured bydefective medical devices,harmful medications, sexualassault,and environmental disasters. The litigationassistantis responsible forall duties necessary to prepare cases for litigation, settlement, and/or trial. Specific duties include: Build,maintain,and manage casesforlitigationsassigned to you Prepare,file,and serve legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery responses,petitions,and other correspondence Perform document review of medical records, employmentrecordsand medical bills todeterminepotential claims based on pre-determined case criteria Offersupport and maintain consistent telephoneand e-mail communications with clients Monitor statute of limitations and upcoming critical deadlines for each case Strategy meetings with attorneysand senior paralegals Additionalprojects as neededfor your litigations We will train youonall duties relevant to the state and federal legal system.
