Senior Accountant Financial Reporting

Overview BGSF is partnered with a privately held energy company in North Dallas seeking a detail-oriented Financial Reporting Accountant to support timely and accurate financial reporting processes. This role is responsible for preparing financial statements, managing general ledger activities, and supporting audit and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight reporting deadlines. Hybrid schedule: remote 2 days a week. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and validate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Execute monthly close procedures, including posting journal entries and reviewing reconciliations Analyze and process entries related to accruals, derivatives, and other complex accounting items Develop monthly financial reporting packages for internal teams and affiliate entities Consolidate financial statements across multiple subsidiaries Assist with the year-end audit process and respond to auditor inquiries Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience; energy or oil & gas sector experience preferred Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications; experience with Access is a plus Familiarity with Enertia or similar accounting software is strongly preferred Solid understanding of GAAP and technical accounting principles Knowledge of internal controls and audit support processes Seniority level Associate Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries Oil and Gas and Oil, Gas, and Mining #J-18808-Ljbffr
