Gould Grieco & Hensley is a plaintiffs' litigation firm representing survivors of catastrophic injury, with a concentrated focus on institutional sexual abuse cases against large corporations, government entities, and healthcare systems. The Role We are seeking a highly skilled litigation writer to join our Los Angeles office. This is a writing‑intensive position supporting an active caseload of institutional abuse, government liability, and complex coordinated litigation matters across California. The right candidate will draft substantive motions, oppositions, and appellate‑quality briefs with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Draft and revise motions, oppositions, demurrers, writs, and trial briefs in California state court. Research and write on complex issues including government immunity, personal jurisdiction, mandatory duty doctrine, statutory revival windows, and institutional negligence theories. Support discovery motion practice and meet-and-confer correspondence. Assist with case strategy by identifying and developing legal theories. Prepare memoranda analyzing evolving legislation and case law affecting plaintiffs' rights. Collaborate with partners and associates across multiple active matters simultaneously. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school; California Bar membership required. Minimum 3–5 years of litigation writing experience, preferably on the plaintiffs' side. Exceptional legal research and writing ability, writing samples will be required and heavily weighted. Familiarity with California civil procedure, the Government Claims Act, and/or sexual abuse litigation is strongly preferred. Ability to manage multiple deadlines across concurrent matters.
