Business Development Support and Intelligence Specialist

About the role PA Consulting Group has an immediate opening for a Business Support Specialist based out of our Denver office. The individual in this role will provide administrative coordination support to PA’s Energy & Utilities (EAU) Sector team. This role requires a highly organized, proactive individual with strong communication skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines. The candidate should be comfortable managing stakeholder relationships, working on multiple projects, and collaborating with teams in a customer‑centric environment. Key Responsibilities The primary role of the Business Support Specialist is to support the EAU team with proposal delivery, RFP bid support, track record compilation, EAU brand deck support, internal job setup requirements, and daily news summaries. This Would Involve Compiling and disseminating energy‑related news: deliver daily energy industry news summaries by reviewing secondary sources and subscribed databases, and fulfill article requests. Business development coordinator: assist the team with proposal, RFQ, and RFP support; manage vendor registrations, review procurement sites for opportunities, and distribute them to the team. Oversee bid submittal support, completing forms and internal PA requirements, and adhere to client‑specific bid requirements. Job Opening Support and Document Management: ensure all client documents are filed according to internal procedures and compile documents required for SOX compliance, including financial bid models, Microsoft Dynamics (CRM) process flows, and internal process adherence. EAU Track record support and management: collaborate with project delivery teams to document project outcomes for qualifications databases and brand assets. Deliverable Support: produce high‑quality proposals, ensuring thorough review and compliance with PA document standards. Knowledge sharing and best practices: develop and maintain best‑practice processes, knowledge‑management systems, and databases already in place. Project Management: work with minimal guidance and oversight. Teamwork: build a network of colleagues in E&U and throughout PA to ensure quality outputs; provide cover for team members during leave or sickness absence. Ad hoc support: act as an administrative point of contact for staff in the E&U team and Denver office and support the business with additional assignments as needed. Qualifications Proactive and capable of working with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment. Ability to prioritize and multi‑task, assimilating information quickly. Strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication. Good presentation skills to present research findings in a professional manner. Logical thinking skills to: Effectively assess each request requirement from internal clients. Draw clear and concise conclusions for executive leaders. Knowledge of market‑research tools and techniques. Professional interaction with employees at all levels and external clients/customers. Energetic, motivated, confident and assertive when necessary. Displays initiative and motivation in taking greater responsibility. Understanding of the energy (including power) industry preferred. Bachelor’s degree and/or at least two years of relevant experience. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
