Compensation Range: $18 - $20 per hour

Reports to: Property Manager

Employment Status: Full-time, Non-exempt.

Regular Hours: Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM. Rotating Saturdays 10:00 AM 4:00 PM (40-hour work week)

Position Summary

The Resident Relations & Leasing Specialist supports the leasing and resident services functions of the community by assisting prospective residents through the leasing process and providing excellent customer service to current residents; focusing on resident communications, renewals, and overall resident experience. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, and passionate about building positive relationships within the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for current residents.
• Respond to resident inquiries, concerns, and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate with maintenance and other departments to ensure resident issues are resolved.
• Foster positive resident relationships and promote resident satisfaction.
• Manage resident communications, notices, and community updates.
• Assist with resident events and engagement activities.
• Greet and qualify prospective residents.
• Conduct community and apartment tours.
• Explain lease terms, community amenities, and pricing.
• Follow up with prospects to close leases and achieve occupancy goals.
• Ensure all required documentation is completed.
• Track lease expirations and conduct renewal outreach.
• Maintain accurate resident files and records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, Fair Housing regulations, and applicable laws.
• Collect and process deposits and other required leasing documentation.

Qualifications

Previous experience in multifamily housing, leasing, property management, hospitality, or customer service preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of Fair Housing practices
