Print Production Technician

Become a Print Production Technician with the Bureau of Administrative Services and help keep essential print operations running smoothly. This role gives you the opportunity to support a wide range of printing needs for statewide programs while working with advanced printing equipment. This position supports the Digital Print Center by operating printing equipment and assisting with quick copy services for customers. The work ensures that printed materials are completed accurately, efficiently, and ready for distribution. As a Print Production Technician, you will perform the following duties:

• Digital Print Operations: Operate Xerox high speed printers and use Q-Direct software to manage digital print workflows
• File Review: Examine printing files to identify issues when processes fail
• Software Use: Create PDFs with Dock Bridge software and manage items in IQ Work Manager
• Quick Copy Tasks: Operate bindery machines and prepare materials for customer pick up
• Customer Service: Assist customers at the pick up window and answer questions
• Packaging Work: Package and box completed work orders for shipment

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Print Production Operator (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• One year of experience in the operation of print or mail insertion equipment or similar machinery used in a print or mail production facility; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
