Accounting ManagerFocused on delivering unsurpassed services in support of law enforcement and homeland security, FSA Federal has a vacancy for an Accounting Manager.Reporting to the VP Finance & Accounting, the Accounting Manager plays a key role in the Finance department's continuity, efficiency, and effectiveness.Role and ResponsibilitiesPrimary manager for the monthly financial close process to ensure financial statements are generated timely and accurately.Review the compilation of regular monthly and reversing journal entries.Post cost, revenue, and cash transactions on an as-needed basis.Review overall balance sheet and income statements for any reporting discrepancies that require correction.Execute the review of monthly General Ledger account reconciliations with a particular focus on the cash accounts.Effectively manage cash balances to ensure availability of funds to meet disbursement needs.Work closely with Payroll to complete biweekly payroll disbursements.Engage with Accounts payable for timely cash disbursements.Management responsibility for tax filings.Lead for annual financial audit and financial statement preparation.Execute continuity in current procedures & policies as well as the development of new procedures.Administration management of Costpoint GL, Deltek T&E, and bank accounts.Support annual budgeting cycle.Point of contact for technical finance questions related to Deltek Costpoint.Minimum Educational RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration/Management.Skills/Qualifications RequiredManagerial experience preferred.Government contracting experience. T&M contract experience preferred.Experience with Deltek Costpoint.Microsoft Excel advanced level experience required.Extensive experience using judgment to plan and accomplish goals; analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
