Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Med Surg/Telemetry specialty. This is an opportunity to provide comprehensive nursing care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Coordinate total nursing care for patients.
Participate in patient and family education.
Provide leadership and work cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards in the clinical setting.
May be asked to act as a backup Charge Nurse.
Float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg units as necessary and within scope of practice.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts with a 36-hour workweek guarantee.
Every other weekend and holidays as needed.
On-call duties are required.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg and Rehabilitation experience.
Charge RN experience is mandatory.
Previous travel nursing experience of at least 3 months is required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Valid Vermont RN License or Compact License.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Must have reliable transportation as this is a small community without public transport.
Permanent address must be provided upon application.

Notes

Requested time off must be indicated prior to submission and should not exceed 5 days.
Travelers must be willing to float to any unit within their scope of practice.
All scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application; subsequent requests will not be considered.

Attendance Policy

Call-offs will be tracked and may lead to contract termination after three occurrences.
Each call-off must be communicated to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance.
