Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of recent Med Surg Rehab experience, Charge RN experience (not negotiable), previous travel experience (at least 3 months) License: Valid RN license (Vermont or Compact) Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS, Active American Heart Association ACLS Must-Have: - Must be willing to float to any unit within scope of practice - Must work required holidays - Must have own vehicle - Must include any/all requested time off (RTO) in submission Description: Please do not upload candidates who wish to work in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment. Please do not upload candidates who will request scheduling accommodations (block scheduling, etc.). May be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse. Coordinates total nursing care for patients. Participates in patient and family teaching. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Utilizes EMR system. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 to 4/5. The average daily patient census is 22. Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified at upload. No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted. Travelers may not take all holidays off. Will be required to work two blocks during designated holiday periods. Local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position. This is a small community without public transport. Candidates must have their own vehicle—this is a firm requirement. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. Each call-off must be communicated to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance. After three call-offs, a traveler's contract may be terminated due to lack of attendance, at management's discretion. Weekend and holiday work may be required as needed.
