Territory Manager, SUD (MI, Detroit)

About the Role Charlie Health is one of the fastest-growing startups in the healthcare industry, working tirelessly to connect people everywhere to life-saving mental health and substance use treatment. As an Territory Manager, SUD, you will join a founding go-to-market team responsible for scaling Charlie Health’s Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program nationally. SUD represents our next major growth vertical, and this team is charged with building the playbook. You will play a direct role in shaping how we engage referral partners in key SUD settings such as detox centers, residential treatment centers, rehabilitation facilities, and other SUD-focused organizations. You will educate these partners about Charlie Health’s comprehensive SUD treatment and mental health programs, ensuring they understand how our services can support individuals on the path to recovery. Responsibilities Develop and execute a territory-level go-to-market strategy focused on growing our SUD program Build deep, trust-based relationships with higher and lower level of care SUD referral partners Conduct in-field outreach 4-5 days per week, meeting with referral partners to educate them about Charlie Health’s SUD programs and services Identify barriers to treatment and collaborate with referral sources to improve access to care for individuals in need Collect and synthesize partner feedback to refine messaging, positioning, and execution. Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to continuously improve the SUD growth motion. Partner with internal teams to create tailored engagement strategies that resonate with SUD care providers and support long-term collaboration Represent Charlie Health in both community settings as well as industry events, conferences, and educational sessions to promote awareness of our SUD program Gather and synthesize feedback from partners and stakeholders to refine marketing, operational, and product strategies Work cross-functionally with marketing, clinical, operations, and analytics teams to achieve growth goals within the SUD channel Requirements Must be based in Detroit, MI Willingness to travel extensively around the Detroit area 4+ years of proven sales or business development experience Experience in healthcare or behavioral health outreach preferred Familiarity with the SUD treatment ecosystem and community ties preferred Demonstrated ability to build relationships, educate stakeholders, and foster collaboration Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Strong project management skills, with a knack for managing details in a dynamic environment Experience with Microsoft Office, Teams, and Salesforce is a plus Benefits Charlie Health is pleased to offer comprehensive benefits to all full-time, exempt employees. Read more about our benefits here. Additional Information The total target base compensation for this role will be between $70,000 and $90,000 per year at the commencement of employment. In addition to base compensation, this role offers an uncapped target performance-based bonus with overall expected compensation will be between $94,000 and $114,000. Please note, pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location, experience, expertise, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
