Customs Specialist, Foreign Trade Zone Administrator

Responsibilities Prepare and submit customs documentation, including entry forms, 214’s, invoices, and other required documents Review and transmit Weekly estimate and weekly entry 3461’s and 7501’s Classify goods according to customs regulations and determine appropriate duty rates Coordinate with clients, carriers, and government agencies to gather necessary information for 214 admissions and Customs Clearances Ensure compliance with customs laws and regulations, including tariff classifications, valuation, and country of origin requirements Track and monitor 214 admissions and customs entries to ensure timely processing and resolve any issues or delays Communicate with customs officials, brokers, and other stakeholders to resolve any customs-related inquiries or problems Enter and review withdrawals for exportation and IT (QP/WP CBP Forms 7512) Ensure all weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual FTZ forms and reports necessary for FTZ operations are submitted and reviewed for accuracy Monitor FTZ operations end to end to include daily processing zone transactions Operate the FTZ inventory control and recordkeeping system Communicate with Warehouse personnel for inventory discrepancies Maintain accurate records of customs transactions and documentation for audit purposes Provide annual FTZ reports (Yearly Blanket CBP form 216, Annual Reconciliation, Certification Letter, FTZ Board Report) Keep updated with legislation changes impacting foreign trade zones Collaborate with internal teams, such as transportation and logistics, to ensure smooth movement of goods across borders Provide guidance and support to colleagues on FTZ-related matters Requirements 2+ years of experience in customs brokerage or related field FTZ experience preferred Experience with import and export documentation and customs clearance procedures Familiarity with international trade and transportation processes Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures Proficiency in using customs brokerage software and systems Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing customs documentation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite #J-18808-Ljbffr Jobtailor
