Deli Specialist

Job Summary Slices, packages, weighs, and sells various deli products, including meats and cheeses. Maintains the presentation and cleanliness of the deli and deli display cases. Provides assistance to members in the deli department. Team members carry out assigned job functions, support club policies and procedures, act with honesty and integrity, ensure a safe and positive environment, embrace inclusion, collaborate, maintain a friendly attitude, and move with speed and agility. Responsibilities Provides a high level of customer service to members Answers questions and recommends deli items Answers member calls and takes special orders Slices, packages, and weighs deli products, including cheeses and meats Assists members in selecting the correct products Samples products to assist in purchasing decisions Prepares and packages special orders and party trays Receives and inspects deli shipments Displays, stocks, rotates, and stores deli products following food safety, freshness, and handling policies Ensures all products are fresh and meet company quality standards Checks for out‑of‑date products daily and follows salvage policies Maintains a wide variety of products in the deli cooler shelves and display cases Operates deli equipment in accordance with safety policies Cleans and sanitizes deli equipment and food surfaces, including rotisserie ovens, cooking utensils, refrigerated cases, and the deli cooler Ensures scale systems are operational and that items are weighed and priced accurately Maintains all club policies and procedures Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments Maintains regular, predictable, full attendance Daily commitment to GOLD Member Standards: greet, anticipate, appreciate (GAA). Fast, friendly, full, fresh, clean club standards. Work as a team to deliver GOLD club standards daily, with commitment and pride to deliver GOLD – grand opening look daily. All items stocked and promotional plans executed. Maintain visible accurate signage. Clean and organized inside and out. Know your business: access and read production and financial performance reporting for the department, and see the connection between consistent execution and positive business impact. Actual salaries will vary by location, education, experience, and qualifications. Work Conditions Most of the time is spent moving about frequently on hard surfaces. Requires occasional bending, pulling, reaching, and stooping. Frequently lifts objects up to 30 pounds and may handle heavier objects with assistance.
