Our culture - we prioritize safety , teamwork, trust, and continuous improvement Growth opportunities - Tuition reimbursement, apprenticeship programs, professional development, GED program Fun team events like family picnics & holiday parties Discount programs - cell phones, travel, automotive, and more! 4 Positions Available at Charter Casting — 2900 E Richmond St, Shawano, WI 54166 Molding Operator | 1st Shift (10-hour shifts, Mon-Thur, 6am-4pm) | $23/hr Operate molding machines and set cores Assemble and prepare sand molds for pouring Inspect and prepare all patterns, set up mold production Coordinate & communicate with melt and molding lines Quality inspections on castings and patterns Maintain a clean workspace, ladle repairs, and prepare for next production run Melt Deck Operator | 3rd Shift (12-hour shifts, 6pm-6am) | $27/hr Transport melting materials and supplies; Operate melting furnace charging equipment Learn to operate the melting furnaces. Transport melting materials and supplies from the warehouse or other locations to the melt deck. Remove full slag hoppers from the melt deck and transport to commercial refuse containers. Responsible for own safety and the safety of others in the area. Core Operator | 1st shift or 3rd shift (12-hour shifts, 6am/pm - 6pm/am) | $23/hr - $25.25/hr Make and prepare sand cores using molds to form holes or hollows in iron castings. Including set up, adjustments, and troubleshooting multiple pieces of equipment. Enter settings into computer system Review process sheets and inspect conditions of cores Complete preventative maintenance as required Grinding Operator | 1st shift or 3rd shift (10-hour days, Monday to Thursday) | $23/hr - $25.25/hr Grind iron castings to specifications Use power tools such as robots, hand grinders, stationary grinders and pencil grinders Perform wheel changes Record data & complete paperwork Prior machine shop experience is a plus! What You Bring: 1 year prior experience working in manufacturing, foundry, metals, or related field Someone who lives by our values of trust, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement High School Diploma (we can help with our GED works program!) Ability to push, pull, lift, and move up to 60lbs Basic math and problem solving skills This position may include access to controlled information or technology under U.S. export control laws.
