Survey CAD Designer

Job Type: Full-Time

Industry: Heavy Civil Construction

About the Role

We are seeking a Survey CAD Designer to support heavy civil construction projects by developing accurate survey drawings, 3D models, and construction layouts. This role works closely with survey crews, project managers, and field teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Develop 3D machine control models and survey drawings.
Prepare topographic maps, stakeout layouts, and as-built documentation.
Interpret survey data, field notes, and electronic files to produce accurate CAD drawings.
Coordinate with project and field teams to support construction activities.
Assist with earthwork quantity calculations and drawing updates.
Perform quality checks and maintain organized project documentation.
Support multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

3+ years of CAD drafting or surveying experience in civil or construction projects.
Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
Experience interpreting survey data and construction drawings.
Familiarity with GPS survey equipment and survey software such as Trimble Business Center, Carlson, or similar is a plus.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to visit project sites as needed.
