Key Qualifications:

• Active DSE Severe teaching licensure required
• Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly in severe needs settings
• Strong background working with children who have profound disabilities and complex medical needs
• Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for young learners
• Keen ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and nursing staff

Role Responsibilities:

• Oversee a caseload comprising multiple students with severe cognitive and medical challenges
• Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address student-specific academic, functional, and health-related goals
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and adaptive tools tailored to each student
• Communicate regularly with families and caregivers, ensuring coordinated care and meaningful progress updates
• Collaborate frequently with support staff and service providers to facilitate integrated and safe learning experiences
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal education regulations for students with severe needs
