Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with Special Education (SPED) endorsement
• Experience in working with students with mild to moderate disabilities preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, students, and families
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and confidentiality

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support tailored to students’ individualized needs
• Design, develop, and monitor IEPs in conjunction with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust plans as necessary
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student goals and achievements
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning
• Employ positive behavior interventions and cultivate a safe, supportive classroom environment
