An enthusiastic Special Education Teacher is needed for a contract role, supporting students with mild to moderate needs during the 2026–2027 school year. You'll play a crucial part in helping each learner reach their potential by delivering individualized instruction and collaborating on tailored education plans.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with Special Education endorsement (required)
• Familiarity with creating and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Experience supporting students with mild to moderate learning needs preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to maintain accurate records and contribute positively in a team setting

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction aligned with each student’s IEP
• Support academic, social, and behavioral growth for students within the special education program
• Regularly assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies to optimize learning
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent support
• Maintain thorough documentation and meet compliance standards for special education
• Foster a safe, respectful classroom environment that encourages student success

This full-time, in-person opportunity runs from late August 2026 through June 2027 and is located near Detroit, MI. The role offers a competitive pay rate starting at $80 per hour, recognizing your expertise and commitment to student achievement.
