Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity serving students across elementary, middle, and high school levels in an engaging setting near Des Plaines, IL. Licensed School Psychologists in Illinois are needed for full-time positions for the upcoming academic year, from August 26, 2026, to June 11, 2027, Monday through Friday.

In this role, school psychologists will focus on conducting re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments, with some initial evaluations as well. Positions are available for both early childhood (0.6 FTE, three days per week, traveling between three preschools for screenings and evaluations) and grades K-4 (1.0 FTE, five days per week, evaluating students, facilitating MTSS data meetings, and supporting the IEP process).

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active Illinois School Psychologist license
• Previous experience working in school settings with diverse caseloads
• Knowledge of special education law and best practices in early childhood or K-4 evaluation processes
• Expertise in conducting and interpreting functional behavioral and psychoeducational assessments
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to supporting and educating families new to the special education process
• Ability to facilitate and actively participate in IEP and MTSS meetings
• Willingness to travel between multiple school sites (for early childhood position)

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with general and special education staff to support students’ educational needs
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, eligibility meetings, and re-evaluations
• Participate in and facilitate IEP and MTSS meetings
• Serve as a resource for families and staff regarding special education services and processes
