Plaintiff Litigation Legal Assistant

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys handling active personal injury litigation in Michigan courts. This position is ideal for a legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment, understands plaintiff-side personal injury law, and is highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Responsibilities Provide administrative and litigation support throughout the life of personal injury cases. Draft, format, and file pleadings, motions, notices, correspondence, and other legal documents. Prepare and electronically file documents using Michigan court e-filing systems. Monitor litigation deadlines, scheduling orders, statutes of limitation, and court calendars. Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, facilitations, case evaluations, and court appearances. Assist with all phases of discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, requests to admit, subpoenas, and medical record subpoenas. Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, experts, and court personnel. Organize and maintain medical records, exhibits, pleadings, and litigation files. Prepare litigation binders, deposition materials, exhibit lists, and trial notebooks. Assist attorneys with mediation, facilitation, case evaluation, and trial preparation. Qualifications Previous experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant, preferably in plaintiff-side personal injury. Strong knowledge of Michigan court rules and e-filing procedures.
