The duties are varied, and will follow the cycle of the sales calendar as well as certain duties to support overall department activity.**How You'll Make an Impact*** Assisting Cataloguers and Specialists in researching works for valuation and upcoming sales. This includes, but is not limited to, provenance and exhibition history research, and undertaking literature checks* Writing catalogue essays for publication* Supporting gallery installation for auction previews, including compiling and mounting lot cards and taking installation images for each work* Handling ad hoc departmental tasks as assigned by line manager**What You'll Bring to the Team*** Research experience and interest in Impressionist and Modern Art* Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment* Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal skills* Effective organizational skills, with the proven capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office (including Excel); familiarity in SharePoint and Canvas are a plus* High attention to detail with reliable follow-through* Ability to work independently and as part of multiple teams* Exceptional client service* Creative problem-solving skills with a proactive approach* Good business judgment aligned with commercial objectives*Christie’s, Inc. is committed to principles of equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, and to compliance with all federal, state, and local laws concerning employment discrimination, including the Americans with Disabilities Act.
