What You'll Be Responsible For
- Perform echocardiography exams for age-specific populations, including Echo, Doppler, Color Flow, Stress Echo, and electrocardiograms
- Provide preliminary exam findings to cardiologists to aid in interpretation
- Interact with patients, answering questions and explaining examination procedures to ensure comfort and understanding
- Maintain patient records accurately and confidentially
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring it is cleaned, disinfected, and functioning properly
- Monitor and manage supplies required for testing
- Safely move and position patients using proper body mechanics
- Collect, interpret, and analyze diagnostic data in compliance with departmental protocols
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular program
- 3 to 5 years of clinical experience in a similar setting
- Valid ARDMS RDCS Adult Echo certification, Pediatric Echo a plus
- Current BLS certification
- Competence in performing Echo, Doppler, Color Flow, and Stress Echo
- Strong documentation, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities, workflow, and adapt to changing needs
