Behavioral Health Intake Therapist (PRN) Join a dynamic behavioral health team supporting care across three hospital Emergency Departments and a central outpatient location at 7980 Clayton Road. This hybrid role offers flexibility with a low monthly commitment of just 24 hours, with scheduling options for 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts. Enjoy a flexible PRN structure with minimal requirements—only one holiday per year and one weekend day every 12 weeks. Job Summary Conducts interviews and behavioral health assessments for potential admissions including telehealth assessments. Job Responsibilities Provides admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients. Responds to telephone inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health‑related services. Facilitates admission of in‑patients and out‑patients based on physician orders. Coordinates transportation to another facility and/or referral to a lower level of care as indicated. Documents calls and related admission information. May staff crisis hotline as needed. Reviews all paperwork accompanying patients to ensure adherence to hospital and regulatory policies. Performs insurance verification and prior‑authorization based on payor requirements. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Qualifications Master’s degree in Behavioral Health or related field. No experience required. Physical Requirements Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0‑25 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors. Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Frequent keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25‑50 lbs. Rare climbing. Professional Licenses (per State) Illinois: LPC, LCSW, LMFT (IDFPR). Missouri: LCSW, LMFT, LPC (Division of Professional Registration). Oklahoma: LADC, LBP, LCSW, LADC‑MH, LMFT, LMSW, LPC (Board of Licensed Professional). Wisconsin: LPC‑IT, APSW, LMFT, LPC, MFT‑TL (Department of Safety and Professional Services).
