Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Avenue Psychotherapy Services, your primary focus will include:

• Conducting individual and group therapy sessions with couples and families, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each client’s needs.

• Assessing clients’ psychological and relationship dynamics to develop effective treatment plans.
\n
• Facilitating discussions around sensitive topics such as alcohol and substance abuse, grief and loss, family conflict, and communication difficulties.
\n
• Managing a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and thorough documentation of sessions, treatment progress, and necessary administrative tasks.

• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will involve supporting a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults, facing a wide array of challenges such as:

• Alcohol and substance abuse concerns.
\n
• Adjustments related to separation and divorce, including the dynamics of blended families and step-parenting.
\n
• Grief, loss, and emotional trauma management.
\n
• Interpersonal and familial conflicts, such as communication barriers and mother-daughter conflicts.

• Job-related stress and coping with medical issues impacting family life.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Virginia.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

Preferred Experience\n

Our compensation package is competitive, with salaries ranging from USD 75,000 to 100,000 annually based on experience and qualifications. In addition to salary, we offer:
