Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide crisis intervention services, delivering urgent emotional support, employing evidence-based practices to help clients effectively manage and resolve crises.

As an LMFT with St. Mary's, you will work with a diverse client population including individuals facing trauma, couples experiencing relationship challenges, and families navigating significant transitions. Your work will directly contribute to improving their mental health and relationship dynamics, adapting therapeutic approaches to effectively address each unique situation.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Virginia.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and build meaningful relationships with clients from a wide range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• Proficiency in exercising clinical judgment with the ability to make timely decisions supported by consultation as necessary.

• Expertise in maintaining client confidentiality while adhering to ethical guidelines and state regulations.

• A solid background in implementing trauma-informed care strategies, particularly with families in crisis and individuals undergoing significant life transitions.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of experience in a related position is required, candidates with advanced clinical training, specialized certifications, or extensive experience in particular therapeutic modalities (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative therapy) will be highly regarded. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is also a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
