Admin Support Specialist – Hinds County, MS Salary range: $33,600.00 - $45,000.00 annually. Location: 25 - HINDS COUNTY, MS. Full‑Time. Agency Overview The Mississippi Department of Mental Health (DMH) certifies, provides and/or financially supports a network of services for people with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. This position is in the Mississippi Department of Mental Health’s Central Office, which provides the overall statewide administrative functions for the programs and services that fall under the oversight of the agency. Responsibilities Respond to calls and e‑mails that come to the Bureau. Process grant invoices. Coordinate schedules. Develop reports as requested. Monitor timekeeping. Manage supply acquisition. Provide travel assistance. Ensure quality improvement measures. Support the team in other duties as assigned. Qualifications Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4‑6 years of experience. Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Teams, Excel, DocuSign, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Adobe and Smartsheet. Report compilation and data management experience. General data analysis and presentation experience. Experience and/or working knowledge of mental health services. Desired Skills Excellent organizational, multi‑tasking, and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of the Department of Mental Health. Effective team player with phone etiquette/call management skills.
