Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for obstetric patients during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines; apply critical thinking and independent judgment.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications and therapies as prescribed, and respond to emergent situations.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and support services to plan and implement comprehensive patient care.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the patient record while ensuring accuracy and privacy.
- Educate patients and families on labor plans, newborn care, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, and discharge instructions.

Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- Experience in labor and delivery or perinatal/acute obstetric care
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital, multidisciplinary team environment
