Responsibilities
- Delivers coordinated nursing care for labor and delivery patients or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervises and directs activities of nursing staff across levels, ensuring appropriate delegation and supervision.
- Coordinates care with other disciplines, utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Monitors maternal and fetal status, administers medications as prescribed, and responds to changes in patient condition.
- Documents care, participates in patient education, and supports discharge planning as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (3x12) and 36 hours per week
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in an inpatient, acute-care obstetric setting
