Security Installation Technician

Backed by advanced technology, lifecycle services and an industry-leading field organization, we elevate customer performance, turn goals into real-world results and help move society forward.As a critical part of the team, the Commercial Installer works onsite with our commercial customers to set up and program their Integrated Security fire and security systems. The Commercial Installer also dismantles and reconstructs equipment when necessary.The Commercial Installer will:Install appropriate devices; dismantle and reconstruct equipment as required by customer or Tyco Integrated Security.Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and clean up installation debris.Contact customers prior to the date of scheduled installation to verify schedule.Prepare estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor.Follow proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures.Test operation of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.Read building, electrical and sprinkler blueprints as required.Coordinate installations with police/fire departments and handle necessary records for notification of emergency calls.May manage installation teams on larger projects.Coach and mentor less experienced installers.Required:A high school diploma or GEDSome technical school training is a plus.2+ years electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.Ability to operate hand and power tools.Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner at all times.Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.Hiring hourly range: $20-25 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
