OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Job Profile Summary:Supervises the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Oversees team and coordination with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain.Responds to escalations of bottlenecks or problem areas and proposes solutions.Monitors suppliers and service providers for quality and performance.Supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes.Contributes to the development of processes and proceduresComply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System.Required Skills, Experience, and Education:Bachelor’s degree3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributorThorough knowledge of functional area under supervision1+ years prior experience in a lead, supervisory or management rolePossess excellent verbal and written communication skills.Make creative, timely and independent decisions.Work overtime as needed.Fluency in English and SpanishConfident, team-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in English, including the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English, is required for this position.Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:CargoWise One (WiseTech) ExperienceIntermediate to Advanced level of experience with ExcelSelf-managed and highly motivatedDisplays integrity, reliability, empathy, and a strong work ethic.Results-oriented; Displays sense of urgency.Proficient in routing, costing, rating, and tracking.Physical Requirements:Lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 poundsRemain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.Pegasus Logistics Group is breaking the mold and we want employees as passionate and diverse as we are.Pegasus Logistics Group is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
