Press Operator - 2nd Shift

Join Us in Cleveland!This exciting opportunity is located in Cleveland, Ohio. We are looking for candidates who are either already local or open to relocating to join our team. Relocation Assistance will be offered!In this position, you will get to:Set up and operate heavy-duty power press to bend, form, stretch and straighten a variety of products such as plates, extrusions, structural shapes, etc as specified by blueprints, layout, and templates.Plan sequence of operations applying knowledge of materials.Perform duties required to assist setup and operate multiple automatic and/or multi-slide presses simultaneously for a variety of stamping products.Work from drawings, route sheets, schedules, written, and verbal instructions.Check material for correct size and type, load coils, adjust uncoiler and material rollers.Assist with set-up of complicated progressive dies, movable and stationary forming blocks, adjust stroke and feed as needed.Use micrometers, calipers, scales, and fixed gauges to check work in process and ensure adherence to specifications.Move materials in the performance of duties using lift truck or crane as necessary.Install and check safety devices as needed for specific jobs.Report faulty equipment, defective material and unusual conditions to supervisor.Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.Perform other related duties as assigned or directed, which may require more than the normal shift hours or work week to meet company needs.Compensation: Up to $40.00/hrHiring Bonus: $5000.00Relocation AssistanceYou have:High School diploma or equivalent.Previous Experience:3+ years Manufacturing experience.3+ years of progressive die stamping press operation experienceSkills:Ability to work in a fast-paced; multi-tasking environment and meet operational deadlinesSelf-motivatingTroubleshootingAbility to work with a teamAnalytical and problem solving skillsEffective communicationDetail-orientedPhysical and Environmental Abilities:Bend, squat down, and reach above your headClimb stairs and laddersLift and carry at least 25 poundsWork in confined spacesWe have:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every dayWe are a $2.1 billion, high-performance electrical company with a dedicated team of 9,000 people, across more than 80 global locationsWe have a robust portfolio of product brands dating back more than 100 years and including: nVent CADDY, ERICO, HOFFMAN, RAYCHEM, SCHROFF and TRACERCommitment to strengthen communities where our employees live and workWe encourage and support the philanthropic activities of our employees worldwideThrough our nVent in Action matching program, we provide funds to nonprofit and educational organizations where our employees volunteer or donate moneyCore values that shape our culture and drive us to deliver the best for our employees and our customers.
