Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description

As a General Production Worker, you will work on a fast-paced production line assembling materials, operating machinery, and preparing finished components for shipment. You will rotate through different stations, perform visual inspections to ensure product quality, and handle parts safely and efficiently in a plastic manufacturing environment.

• Work on the production line to assemble materials and components according to established procedures.
• Operate production machines safely and efficiently under the guidance of experienced operators.
• Lift parts off the production line, inspect them for quality, and place them into boxes for shipment.
• Perform detailed visual inspections of parts to identify defects such as scratches, paint marks, dents, or other imperfections.
• Assist with assembling components once the line is attached and ensure all parts meet quality standards before packaging.
• Rotate through various production positions based on operational needs and personal preference, maintaining flexibility and teamwork.
• Handle plastic and foam parts, including lifting car hoods (approximately 56 units high) and positioning them at the workstation.
• Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper use of safety glasses and adherence to safety controls.
• Maintain consistent attendance and demonstrate job longevity by committing to the role and meeting performance expectations.
• Work 3rd shift hours (10:30 p.m. 6:30 a.m.) and be available for overtime as needed, including arriving up to 4 hours early, staying up to 4 hours late, and working some Saturdays.
• Support a clean and organized work area and contribute to a positive, cooperative production team environment.

• At least 6 months of recent manufacturing experience, currently working in manufacturing or having done so within the last 30 days.
• Recent experience (within the last 6 months) in roles such as production worker, machine operator, assembler, or warehouse worker.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs safely and repeatedly during the shift.
• Physical ability to lift and move plastic and foam car hoods (stacked approximately 56 high) and position them at the workstation.
• Demonstrated visual inspection experience, including identifying defects such as scratches, paint marks, dents, and other quality issues.
• Proven job stability, with at least 8 months of tenure at each of the last three jobs.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing and general production environment with repetitive tasks.
• Basic understanding of quality standards and willingness to follow production and safety procedures.
• Ability to work 3rd shift (10:30 p.m. 6:30 a.m.) and commit to mandatory overtime, including 12-hour shifts when required.

This role is based in a plastic manufacturing facility that can be warm, especially during the summer months. You will work on 3rd shift from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., and hourly employees may be scheduled for mandatory 12-hour shifts and overtime, including early start times, late finishes, and some Saturdays. You will work alongside another operator (OP1) with an OP3 overseeing the machine, fostering a collaborative production environment. The dress code includes work pants, a work shirt, closed-toe shoes, and safety glasses. For safety reasons, long fingernails are not permitted, and all team members are expected to follow established safety controls and procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, MI.

The pay range for this position is $16.95 - $16.95/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Roseville,MI.
